Position Overview

Substitute teachers at Valor play a vital role in performing the duties of regular teachers when they are absent. Substitutes are required to assist in a wide range of different capacities, including during teacher prep time, as assigned by the Substitute Coordinator.

A full day of substitute teaching begins at 7:20 a.m. and ends at the conclusion of the teacher’s duties for the day (3:10 p.m. or 3:30 p.m.). The daily rate of pay is $110 for a full day. A half day of substitute teaching includes up to 4.5 hours of work. The daily rate of pay is $55 for a half day.
